John Hinson recorded this solo piano piece at OTR Studios on February 10, 2010.
It's always a treat when you have a young, talented artist suddenly show up at your doorstep unexpectedly. John Hinson was on his way to Phoenix moving his family from Seattle when he called OTR Studios to come and record. While he was in Medford, John thought it would be a treat to find a Steinway in the Bay Area and stop in for a few hours.
At first, I was reluctant because we were booked up, but he seemed like a nice person on the phone and we squeezed him in for a few hours... and we're really glad we did.

The music was recorded to analog 2" tape and mixed to DSD. We used B&K 4012 mics, Millennia preamps and our own silver cable.
